Getting to us by Car.
From Penrith, having travelled via the M6 (via Junction 40) or the A66. Continue along the A66 following signs to Keswick, Workington and the Western Lakes. Cockermouth is about 30 miles along this road. When on the Cockermouth bypass you will reach a roundabout with the "Sheep and Wool Centre" on your left and an Esso garage on your right.
Here take a right into Cockermouth. After about a mile you will reach some traffic lights. Bear left and proceed down the hill. At the bottom of the hill you will come to a mini roundabout and will be facing Wordsworth House, an imposing terracotta building. Here turn right onto Main Street in Cockermouth. Travel along, passing over TWO zebra crossings and you should see the GLOBE HOTEL on your right. To the left of this hotel is a very narrow road called Challoner Street. We are near the top of this street on the left-hand side. Parking is usually available around the back.

Getting to us by Train.
Use the West Coast Main Line and stop at Penrith or Carlisle. There is a frequent bus service from both stations to Cockermouth.
